Skillet’s John Cooper on What It Means to Be ‘Wimpy, Weak, and Woke’

John Cooper has spent the last 25 plus years touring the world as the lead singer of the 17-time platinum selling rock band Skillet. During that time, fans have been treated to a variety of hard-hitting, nail-biting songs, with each one delivering a foundational truth pointing to God’s love.

While their live shows consistently deliver hair-raising, pyrotechnic-fueled entertainment, the band consistently sets itself apart from all the others for their unabashedly unapologetic willingness to stand for theological truth.

In his latest book, “Wimpy, Weak, and Woke”, Cooper provides readers with a critical and timely message on today’s cultural climate that rings true as a voice crying out in the wilderness. In fact, actor and television host Kirk Cameron says of Cooper, “He is made for this kind of work - smashing idols and building authors."

Cooper joins us on the Crossmap Podcast to talk about the cultural issues that he sees as the most detrimental to our society as a whole. Listen as he shares how the West was built on the belief in objective truth, objective reality, and absolutes, all of which are being destroyed as we speak.
